Slideshow: “Back to the Bays 5K” in Peconic

Back to the Bays 5K

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County’s Marine Program and Peconic Estuary Program hosted its first “Back to the Bays 5K” on Saturday.

Nearly 80 people crossed the finish line with 17-year-old Sam Greenberg of Manhattan finishing first with a time of 16:38.

Robin Lynn of Cutchogue was the first female to cross the line with a time of 20:05.

Proceeds support Cornell Cooperative Extension’s Back to the Bays Initiative.
