The first annual Paul Drum Character Breakfast was held at Front Street Station in Greenport Sunday morning where mermaids and pirates roamed the dining room while guests enjoyed live music from anti-bullying artist Meredith O’Connor.

Proceeds benefit the Paul Drum Nautical Education program.

Mr. Drum, who has Down Syndrome, was recently featured in The Suffolk Times about becoming Greenport’s mayor for the day, which will go into effect today during the East End Seaport Museum’s 25th annual Maritime Festival.
